The first round of the 8th Annual Riggs Open Golf Tournament was held at Brookview Golf Club. The leader out of the gate was Bob Bush - who shot an 85. Scott Riggs shot an 89, and brother Brent Riggs shot 90. The brothers desperately wanted to win their first major.
The final round was played at the classic Hollydale Golf Club . Mark Patterson came from off of the pack with a blistering score of 81. Doug Leslie, and Brent Riggs made a run with scores in the 80's... but Bob Bush shot an 82, finishing at 4 under his handicap for the tourney, securing his first-ever Riggs Open title. Brent finished as Runner-up at Even par. Doug Leslie (+3), Mark Patterson (+4), and Chris Birkholz (+4) rounded out the top 5.
