First Round - Pebble Creek Golf Club (Becker, MN) Par 72
Final Round - The Links at Northfork (Ramsey, MN) Par 72

The 16th Riggs Open Golf Tournament first round was held at beautiful Pebble Creek Golf Club.  The first round leader was Gary P. Nagle with a 78 (8 under), but Craig Steen was again in the hunt with a first round 78 (4 under).  Mark Steen (81), Doug Borsch (85), Scott Riggs (85), and Jim Taylor (90) also had good solid first rounds.

The final round was held at the always difficult Links at  Northfork.  Craig Steen was on fire early, posting a 37 on the front nine, but Gary Nagle would not go away.  The two came to the 18th tee  tied at 11 under!  They both had birdie putts on the 18th green, and  Nagle got down in 2 putts for his par (and a finishing score of 11 under par), but Craig missed his par putt (and finished at 10 under).   It was the closest Riggs Open finish since 1990!  Doug Borsch (-1), Mark Steen  (+1), John Bevans (+2), and Jim Taylor (+2) rounded out the top 5 in a historic Riggs Open.
