The first round of the 10th Annual Riggs Open Golf Tournament was held at the very challenging layout of Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids, MN.  This was the first year that the tournament would be held at a Championship-style golf course.  Bunker Hills is the site of the Burnet Senior Classic on The Senior PGA Tour.  The early lead belonged to one Gary Nagle .  Gary carded a beautiful 85 in this his first Riggs Open.  Other good early rounds included: an 84 from TW Schlag, and an 87 from Brent Riggs, John Bevans, and Mike Flom.

The final round was held at the old reliable Brookview Golf Club.  The final group included: Gary Nagle, Brent Riggs, Mike Flom, and John Bevans.  It was a day that saw Flom exhibit a phenomenal short game - getting up and down from everywhere to shoot an 80 - en route to his first Riggs Open title.  Mike finished at 9 under his handicap, and edged out Bevans (-5) by 4 shots, and Nagle (-2) by 7.  Finishing in a tie for 4th was Dan Bradley (E), and Brent Riggs (E).
